Risks of Repair 

No repair is ‘risk free’, it is possible, although rare, for additional issues to occur during or shortly after repair, the cost of resolving such issues is the sole responsibility of the device owner. 

The repair of Apple devices often involves removing wafer thin flex cables from broken parts or removing broken glass from cables, in rare cases these cables can fail leading to the failure of the Touch ID or Face ID functions, these are secure functions and if this occurs these functions often cannot be repaired, the device will function normally but without these functions being available. 

Opening sealed devices for repair can sometimes result in some small visible marking to the casing. 

Waterproof Devices 

Waterproof devices which have been repaired should no longer be treated as waterproof and are not warrantied against water damage, although waterproof seals are replaced where appropriate even invisible damage to the frame, seal surfaces, back, etc, which is likely if the device has been damaged enough to require repair, can allow liquid into the device. 

Warranty 

All repairs, apart from liquid damage repairs, carry a six-month warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing faults with the parts supplied and only covers the parts supplied, not the entire device. For a warranty claim to be valid the supplied parts must be undamaged.  

Retail warranties vary in length from 1 year upwards and are provided by the manufacturer not the retailer, for the first six months they are dealt with by the retailer via their supply chain, from six months to the expiry of the warranty they are dealt with by the manufacturer directly. 

A warranty is not insurance and does not cover breakages. 

Device Storage 

We will freely store devices for up to 28 days after notifying a customer that a device is ready to collect. After this time, if the device has not been collected and we have not had contact to make arrangements your device will be considered abandoned and may be sent for recycling. 

General Terms 

We endeavour to carry out repairs as soon as possible but all work is carried out in the order it is booked in; most repairs can be carried out within 1 to 5 working days depending on current workloads. Certain repairs can be delayed by the availability and delivery of parts, particularly where parts need to be ordered direct from manufacturers abroad, you will be told the expected delivery time for your parts before you proceed with a repair but we do not have any control over delays in dispatch or shipping. If your repair has a deadline please ensure you let us know at the time of booking as we can give a realistic expectation of it being completed in that time scale. 

We do not offer a no fix no fee policy. We have a minimum charge of £25 to cover diagnostics and initial work carried out, this is charged if a device is deemed beyond economical repair or the customer chooses not to proceed with a repair. In cases where very little time is spent with diagnostics, we do of course exercise discretion! We do not charge the diagnostics fee if the repair proceeds or if we are unable to facilitate the repair.
